2) DOES THE MRF 250 COMMUNICATE TO EQUIPMENT USING RADIO FREQUENCY DIRECTLY?

The MRF 250 does not communicate directly to equipment via RF. It will only receive RF signals from the remote then relay that signal to equipment using an IR emitter or through the front IR blaster.

3) HOW MANY COMPONENTS CAN BE CONTROLLED USING THE MRF 250

The MRF 250 can control up to 20 components using its front blaster or up to 6 components using the IR emitters.

4) CAN THE MRF 250 CONTROL IDENTICAL COMPONENTS?

Yes, the MRF 250 can control identical components. This is accomplished by using the IR routing feature. Each rear panel emitter output can be assigned to identical components and still address each one independently, even though they operate using the same codes.

5) HOW MANY MRF 250’S CAN I USE IN ONE HOME?

The MRF 250 features RF addressability which will allow you to set up 15 MRF 250’s to control up to 15 different equipment locations in one home if desired. Each MRF 250 in the home can be assigned a unique ID address so that only certain authorized remote controls can access equipment in a specific setup.

6) WHAT FREQUENCY DOES THE MRF 250 OPERATE ON?

The MRF 250 operates at 418 MHz.

7) HOW DO I PROGRAM AN MRF 250?

Programming for the MRF 250 is accomplished through the remote controls RF setup menu either through the MX Editor software or manually depending on which model remote control you are using. There is also a dial located on the bottom of the MRF 250 that allows you to match your ID address to your remotes ID address.
