Easy to Hold and Easy to Use
The Super Remote SR3 is as easy as 1-2-3. It is lightweight, comfortable to hold and sculpted for easy one-hand operation. Ergonomic finger relief on the bottom makes two-handed operation convenient, too. Older people and those with arthritic hands will appreciate this feature.
Large, easy-to-read numeric buttons, each in the shape of the number it represents, makes it a snap to find and press the right keys. The buttons are soft-textured and provide tactile feedback.
The URC SR3 can control up to three devices, including TVs, cable or satellite boxes, and DVD players. It is powered by two AA alkaline batteries, which are included with the remote. The SR3 remote weighs about 5 ounces with batteries, making it so lightweight for people who find heavier remotes hard to handle.
Simple Programming, with Highly Intuitive Helpful Features
This remote is both preprogrammed and learning. This means you can use a built-in code or have it “learn” buttons from old remotes quickly and easily. This remote control will never become obsolete and can be used with both old and new components.
The centrally located “My Button” allows users to begin their favorite activity with a single press. For example, it can be set up to turn on the TV and set the tuner to the Food Network simply by pushing one button. This feature is simple to program and so convenient to use.
Four “Favorites” buttons allow users to pre-program the channels they like to watch most often, so that they can access them quickly and easily--all without using the numeric keypad and without even remembering the channel number.
The “ALL OFF” button does what it says; when the user is finished watching a DVD, for example, this button will shut down the entire system without fumbling. And should the SR3 remote get caught under a sofa cushion by accident, it will turn itself off automatically to avoid battery drain from having buttons continually pressed.
SimpleSound is a great feature. It gives total volume control over every component, even those that do not have their own built-in volume control such as TiVO and DVD players.
URC is not making any medical claims, but it’s reasonable to assume that the larger, clearer buttons make the SR3 easier to read and operate, compared to standard remote controls. This remote control was conceived and designed to be easy for all people to use, even those with impaired finger movement.
